Ok here is the current state of play...and how does end of March sound for a new deadline? No? If not post your preffered deadlines in this thread and I will come up with a new one that's fair to everyone.

Current list of submissions as WAV files

King Brown The Fuses Have been Lit
The E-jitz Def Con Wan (sic) You are sending me a WAV right?
The Penny Licks Inside You
Artificial Human 92F
Cartsbeforehorses Sweet Sweet Pie
Payback3000 Intergalactic Dub Mission
Let’s Get Lo Fi Motherf*cker Urban Futuristic (son of South Central)*
MadBastard Babylon

Tracks In Progress

BronxZoo Bulletproof
BronxZoo PWEI-zation (were you still tweaking this? I have a couple of different MP3 files)
Pwe-bk Dust Me Down
Cubinate Ich Bin Ein Auslander
MeatTrademark Pretty Pretty
Payback3000 Orgyone Stimulator

*I have scoured the internet, waded through YouTube and even tried the Wayback Machine to find the chap who did this a few years back…no joy but I will include it with a disclaimer in the listings in case they crop up and look surprised when it’s all out there.

I've missed my chance now. I just couldn't face recording those vocals again.

Anyone got any tips on recording vocals? What kind of mic should I use? Keep seeing condenser mics for sale...is this what I want. USB or analogue input? Something cheap, please!

I'm viewing each file I get in Soundforge. it clips right the way through. the loudest sections.

Is there no clipping in your software before you mixdown? I don't know too much about clipping or digital distortion (apart from that it should be avoided) but I think it can be a bit damaging if the music is played at high volume. Anyone know the ins and outs? I have avioded clipping but my track is a bit quiet on the final mix so I will need to sort out some sort of mastering.

What software are you using BTW? There are some amazing sounds in there and it's very 'jump up'. Is it all synths that come with the software?
