Anyone got any plans this year?

Personally things are different for me, and I need to know about places being family friendly, and the sort of stuff that I probably would have shuddered at years ago. I may even take a change of clothes these days.

Anyway, this line-up looks spot on- http://www.beardedtheory.co.uk/lineup.php

I can't go this year cos I'm at a wedding. :(

This one does look possible, and decent (athough the website is awful)- http://www.alchemyfestival.co.uk/

So, anyone got any plans/suggestions, etc?

I bought pre-sale tix to the incredibly weak HEAVY TO 2012... HEAVY TO 2011 was so much fun with bands like Anthrax, Mastodon, Opeth, Rob Zombie, Slayer, Diamond Head, Devildriver, Children Of Bodom, Motorhead, Anvil, Testament, Megadeth... Even non-metal acts like Auf Der Maur were amazing!

The pre-sale went on before the line-up was announced, but given last year I bough blind. Well, fuck... Check out this years craptastic line-up:



Fuck me, this is 95% terrible. The only saving grace for me is Suicidal Tendancies, which I think will blow me away. Other than that, it's ALL filler bands opening with what looks like great headliners for EdgeFest 1998. Fuck this... Kataklysm, Gojira & Goatwhore are pretty decent, but other than that I could care less.

So, this brings me to my next question: does anyone want to buy a weekend pass for Heavy TO 2012? ;)

Download Festival (donnington) , Bloodstock Open Air (Metal fest in Derby) are a definate go for me .
Maybe Infest (industrial fest in Bradford) and maybe a european festival ie Mera Luna , Tuska etc

Or any that the Poppies play at.


Still gutted about Sonisphere though :x
