Is Judgement Night the one that had the rap/rock crossover soundtrack?

I think I had a taped copy of that, it'll still be somewhere around. If I remember rightly there were some half decent tracks on it.

Yeah that's the one. I haven't heard the soundtrack though. The film though homey, what about the film, it's dope right?

Yup. It's that Judgement Night. Not bad as a movie. Not as a good a film as the soundtrack threatened, as I recall.

I loved the FNM/Boo Yaa tribe track, which I bought on CD single. I was too suspicious of some of the contributors (looking at you, Pearl Jam..) to buy the album at the time, but since then I have really been enjoying the Teenage Fanclub/De La Soul and Dinosaur Jr/Del tracks too.

Saw Limitless the other day. Bradley Cooper is a washed up writer who takes an experimental drug that allows him to use 100% of his mind. I really enjoyed it. It also stars Robert De Niro and he isn't completely rubbish. Which makes a change, these days. Anna Friel also has a very small part in it. She doesn't look hot in this. Sense of mild disappointment still lingers.

Submarine -ok but book is better

The hangover - quite good

Knight and Day -well I liked it.

Sourcce code -ok but not ace
The princess diaries - kids wanted to but I enjoyed it. I will watch any old crap.
The hurtlocker - quite good with lots of big names with small parts (oooh err)

Black Swan (I've seen it but wife hasn't).

I watched Cell 211 this week. French Prison action / drama. It's pretty good stuff. If you liked A Prophet then you might dig it. Not a film but I cracked open the Hammer House Of Horror TV series box set. I've only watched 'The House That Bled To Death' I sort of remembered it from my childhood and then the bit at the Birthday party brought it all back!

Anyone been watching Justified with Timothy Olyphant & Walton Goggins? Elmore Leanoard / Kentucky based crime show? It's corking stuff. Series 2 was ace. Early reports are S3 is even better. It's great, gritty, twisty turny stuff and it's good to see Timothy Olyphant cast correctly for once since Deadwood. He was wasted in Die Hard 4 and Hitman - not the right roles for him at all.

So, Payback, how does 'The House That Bled to Death' stand up?

I remember seeing that and being absolutely petrified - think it might have been related to the fact that we moved house a lot when I was a kid. The new house could always have been possessed by the devil. Easily. Obv.

Is it still properly scary?

Judgement Night album is definitely worth getting hold of, but it does suffer from being

a) Dated. Although, given where we are discussing it, I doubt that's a problem.
b) A bit samey. It's 12 rap-rock crossovers! Hey; look out for that riff! Here comes a rap now! We all like marijuana you know?

That said, I'm going to be dredging it up and sticking it on my mp3 player this weekend now.
