You need to watch Primer about 1000 tuimes ot get your head around it. or be a Mathamatical Genius. I liked Enter the Void.

Anyhow DRIVE is excellent although a lot of people seem to take it the wrong way. It has been marketed as a crash bang action thriller. It's not though. It seems superfical an slow but actually it's incredible if you read it right.

Anyhow enjoyed Troll Hunter & Rare Exports last week. I did not enjoy Stake Land though. Some great ideasand it's heart is in the right place. It is very dull though.

I realise it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like things a bit batshit mental, you might want to check out Rubber. A film about a sentient car tyre called Robert with psychokinetic powers, what's not to love?

Anyone mentioned Pi yet?

Clint Mansell did the score, but GET THIS it's a pure electronic one - He made one badass Drum'n'Bass track you can find on the soundtrack, an ambient piece and a techno piece you can't find on the album and a Big Beat track made mainly for ther album.

It's a psychological thriller involving a mathemtical genius. It's... hard to describe. You just need to watch it. I really can't express how much I love this film.

The soundtrack in the film also has Spacetime Continuum, Massive Attack, Orbital and Banco de Gaia. The album that was made for it contains track that didn't appear (Aphex Twin!) but serves as a fantastic collection of the weird side of electronica.

Other than that...

Se7en is an amazing thriller. Crank and Crank 2 are surrealistic actioners with lots of adrenalin, especially the second one. Shoot 'Em Up is also good if you like this stuff. Ed Wood (The Tim Burton film) make me go crazy like Pi so I shouldn't elaborate.

T'other night, on a whim, I decided to record the universally derided Batman & Robin just to see if it was as bad as I remember it to be. Funny thing, I quite enjoyed it (and so did the kids). Dont get me wrong, in comparison to the Burton films or the mighty Nolan films its appalling but really thats like comparing apples and oranges. I never realised back in '97 that this film and its slightly more popular older brother Batman Forever are the direct decendents of the 60s TV show and not the gothic blockbusters, so with that in mind its not too bad.

Its a shame this film killed off Alicia Silverstones career because she was FAF (Fit As Fuck).

The missus took me to see Wuthering Hights last weekend.

Do not go and see this film. It is FUCKING SHITE for two and a half hours.

Of course, she loved it, the blinkered fool that she is.
