I don't know what your talking about honest.

Actually I really don't. I only listen to bleak post rock and The Cure. I am not familiar with the pop band 'Pitchshifter' or any other current in sounds. I listen to things like Explosions In The Sky whilst relaxing nodding off a bit. However the only song that sounds like C&M to me is Disguise. The rest are more VileEvils sounding but heavier with loud guitars.

Am I helping?

Pitch Shifter put out 3 great albums; Industrial, Desensitized, & Infotainment... Then they became Pitchshifter and put out some of the weakest & uninspired stuff on the planet. While I still have some fond memories of http://WWW.PITCHSHIFTER.COM, overall the album is a pretty tame follow up to the previously mentioned. As soon as they became a D&B electro-punk band, and J.S. Clayden decided to sing like a 15-year-old instead of a viking, I lost interest.

As far as Jason Bowld is concerned, he seems like a more appropriate PWEI drummer than a Pitch Shifter drummer.

I hate to piss on anyone's chips here, but...

I do hope we're not all excited by this assortment of what may very well be rampantly remixed VileEvil's tracks with drums by the bloke from Pitchshifter. Calling it Pop Will Eat Itself is fundamentally a bunch of bait-and-switch. I hope this new record is brilliant, I really do. But I have no excitement about it. To me, it's Graham's new band with a different band's name. I'm interested because of Graham's track record which is strong. if this new band didnt have the PWEI name or Graham in the lineup, I can guarantee they'd have a hard time shifting 14 tickets at the London Dog And Duck.

Pop Will Eat Itself name or not, I think we'd all be excited about a new band with Graham. And the fact that these songs all sound like better version of pretty good songs from VLVE makes it sound like we're going to get a good album that we enjoy. And those who get to go the gigs get to hear Graham performing old songs that everybody loves. I don't see why there needs to be anymore angst towards the new band or what name they should or shouldn't be using.

Did I say Ilked Choas and Mayhem? This is a song that sits well with the rest of the PWEIs songs. Clearly I'm biased but this is going to be the one that is covered by contestants on X-Factor when Adele has finally got out her injunction.

At some point we should probably accept that for whatever reason, whether you agree with it, a band called pop will eat itself is now operating. Of course most of us would like to see the original line-up and some of us may have reservations about the use of the name; it's happened now. I think we have to decide whether we want to see the band called pwei in its present incarnation. I'm shallow and really just want to hear the old songs and the new; the old will certainly sound different.

Also I want to be told to fuck off after heckling the band; I'm pretty sure Mary Byker can do this.

Fourth Song...'Where's Fuzz?'


I'm fairly confident this will get me beaten up.
