I was talking to her when the post man arrived and she had to sign for it - very fortunate.

Looking at the CR site I think I must have asked for a special delivery to ensure I had it sooner rather than later (a little ironic really) - they do have a notice on the site that "this item is currently being re-pressed due to a very high initial demand, we expect to start shipping again shortly."

How about doing a book via a vanity publishing site? That coupled with videos. I seem to remember cherry red suggesting they'd offer the videos after the release of dos dedos. Anyone polite enough to ask them?

A couple days later and a million plays I can give a better opinion.

100% is --it is by far the best track, woulda been a hit. The beat is not from Curve but the Beastie Boys, Pass the Mic, though Curve probably took that from the Beasties as well. Or wherever the B Boys took it.

No Contest is in rough shape, Hangman is great but Dehydration is way too loud following Hangman, kind of a pointless detour. There's a couple industrial ballads in I'm Gonna Get Ya Baby and Out of Darkness Cometh Light, similar DNA to The Fuses Have Been Lit. I despise Big Green Head, it has that weak vocoder and presumably the vocals would have been replaced in a final version, but as is it is unlistenable. I Am The One and 1 800 Outsider are the other standouts, tons of replays for me, and Demon I suppose, though the 2010 Demon track is soooooo perfect I look at this old Demon kind of cockeyed. Not a fan of T +A or Point Blank.

If the demos of LOTL and "Kick to Kill/ Let it Flow" prove anything, it's that the flaws of Big Green Head or Point Blank probably would have been ironed out.

The remaster of Dos Dedos is baffling. It drains all the midrange out and leaves weird artifacts like hiss on the intro to Underbelly.

Besides the four great tracks, Adam's notes are a gold mine. I don't think I ever knew the details of the split, just that most of the bands of my youth called it a day around that 1995/ 96 era and usually it was a combo of record company chicanery, drugs and falling out of fashion with Brit pop and grunge.

And if I sound down on the release, 4 tracks I love is a high watermark on any album my cranky old bastard ears hear anymore.
