Luke Haines book about Britpop sold much better than any Auteurs stuff, so there should be a market for summat by Our Adam!

Yeah but Britpop is a big subject and that was just a normal biography, I'm think of something rather more grandiose!

Like I said though, I'd want a full tDR retrospective, I don't see what a simple collection of Adam's writings would give us that the eBay notes and reissues haven't already. Sure I'd buy it but I'd still want more.

I personally don't think i was being a "naysayer" i clearly stated that the 96 album was great and how happy i was to finally hear it. I merely pointed out that it was very disappointing to only have one unheard song on the DDMA disc after all the treats on the previous re-issues (which were ALL faultless by the way) It seems to have just been filled out with stuff from other CD's which was a shame i thought.

Well it still isn't here so no review yet, either I've been forgotten or the postie's ran off with it. Got a few bits coming and had nothing. Bah!!

So far I'm really digging this album, it seems like the appropriate follow up for the direction PWEI was taking during the mid-90s. I do think that some of the songs could have been beefed up a bit given a bit more time, but I'm more than satisfied. To hear a proper "Hangman" finally in something I never thought would happen; I guess I'll have to retire that grainy bootleg version for now:)

I am not overly impressed with the "remaster" so far as I"m not hearing anything different. Nothing really pops and I don't hear a lot of space between the sounds like I did with Box Frenzy or TITDTHIHTIT!, but maybe my tired old ears are just fatigued at the moment.

I knew going into this project that the bonus tracks were going to be less than stellar (Let It Flow & CPI#2... C'mon, those tracks could be found on not one, but two official singles plus the Japan release. They aren't exactly rare) the saving grace being the radio edit of Babylon, which is pretty awesome.

The liner notes are top notch, and like before I think they used a bunch of my 8x10 scans. I suppose a little credit might have taken away from the original ascetic .

Disc arrived today - yay.

Listening to "A Lick..." now - in an odd twist, I'm having to listen to it on my proper CD player as neither of my computers can read it... so, old CD player up and running (though I can't add it to my iPod... *sigh*). La plus ca change...

All that being said, only a couple songs in - but really liking it so far. Yeah, sounds rougher - but I kinda like that...
