Cant wait to have the cherry red reissue album set complete!

Can i express my gratitude ohm for your presistance in getting dos dedos reissued after 2 years of trying. I personally think the last 2 years have been fantastic as a poppies fan, with the reissues, adams caravan auction and the pweiv2 band. Whilst the 96 'lost album' will be the digging up of the wholly grail, im not expecting too much from it. I never really got in the the heavy industrial sound that the band had started with dos dedos. The 2 shows i saw of the band in 96 felt like the band had come to their conclussion. I look forward to reading adams view on how the band fell apart.

I disagree but understand the sentiment. I don't think PWEI were going industrial, I thought they were just getting harder, lyrically and musically. I LOVE DDMA and Amalgamation. I can't wait to hear the "lost" album. Just knowing I thought I'd never hear it, and now it's coming... Fucking brilliant.

I don't think being signed to Trent's NOTHING label changed them in any way they didn't want to change. They got harder and more message-intense because they were that damn awesome. The NOTHING label did not force anything, if anything it gave them more freedom.

Interesting to read these different takes on late PWEI. I'd recommend, for your maximum listening pleasure, reading Adam's sleevenotes whilst listening to DDMA remastered, thus giving you plenty of context before playing 'Cassette Box'. The different directions within the band, the post Graham hole that needed filling and how they went about approaching that, the different originators of the tracks themselves, the various songwriting and production scenarios, where the guys' heads were at, the Reznor/US influence etc. It all informs the record, I think.

Either that or just get tanked up, throw the sleevenotes away up and play it really really loud for pop music's sake.

This is kind of a heads-up for Ohm. In case you guys didn't know (It'd be hard to imagine since it's been that way for a year now... but still), the box art for "Looks or the Lifestyle" are missing from the Cherry Red site. I sent a message to the webmaster over there about it when I first noticed it, but obviously it's not a big deal.
