Ugh! Still trying to get the vocals done for Pretty Pretty. I'm just hoping my tax refund gets here soon enough to buy a new mic. If not, the vocals are going to sound like a muffled dying howler monkey. (The laptop's internal mic is almost as bad as my singing voice...) Still, I think the music side is pretty pretty good. If it clips I'm screwed because the track is mixed (sans vocals) and my friend with the studio and copies of the individual tracks is out of town. Oh, the drama.

I'm getting quotes form some companies for short run cd-r's in printed digipaks. One seems to do good prices on the 6 panel digi packs which is nice and gatefoldy for maximum tDR rip off graphics!

looking at runs of 50 / 100 / 150 / 200.

I reckon 100 will be enough.

Currently we have a pool of 40 mins of material - some still at the unfinished stage -some final mixes. Looks like it will run at least 1hr though if everyone delivers!

I did my first recording session of Home on Saturday, which went quite well. Got the bass line and the vocals down, next is to get the drums right and then add loads of sound effects and stuff. Should be ready by the deadline. It sounds pretty cool so far, I'm really pleased!

I have a quote for a run of 100 CD-r disks (they just copy your master for these small runs - has to be 500+ for a proper production run) in 6 panel full colour digitally printed digi packs... first quote is for black ink on a silver disk...very 80's - second quote is for full colour disk faces - 2p extra per disk.

So for me to post out a disk you would be looking about £5 with postage and packing for one disk. Now of course that means I have to shift the lot to get my outlay back. I'm sure they would be snapped up....the other option is for each contributer to buy an equal share of the stock and then 'pass' on to fans who want a copy to get there out lay back?

Would be about £25 / 10 CD's a person at the moment...

Any thoughts on how to do it?
