Recommend a film

[Stubborn Puppet]

Recently saw "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil". That was really unexpected and a great performance from Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk.

I was going to watch it yesterday but I thought that it might be crap, so I watched "the strangers" instead and I warn everyone to keep away from this shitfest!!! If you have a lot of time on your hands & like a slow film that could have been 20 minutes long & makes no sense & tries to be suspenseful but instead just irritates you. With semi-retarded protagonists who always do the wrong thing, & mindless violence that is unnecessary, then this is your film.

I also saw "the unknown" with Liam neeson which was an action packed thriller about a man who has a car crash & has an identity crisis only to realise that his true identity... I won't spoil it. It's a great film though it's as likeable as mission impossible 4 which was delightfully action packed.

I hated MI4 it was rubbish apart from the Dubia bit. Unknown is proper 90's style thriller trash and really good fun. He hasn't forgotten how to...KILL YOU!

I watched The Gaurd at weekend. It's written and directed by the bloke who wroke In Bruges. It also stars Brendan Gleason. I found it even better then In Bruges. It's really funny, dark stuff.

PS - Tucker & Dale is really very good!

He's done a couple of good films and some fucking shite ones, imo.

I watched Robert de Niro in Jacknife last night. It's one of his older ones (1989) meaning that he is good in it. It's a really super movie about two Vietnam Vets trying to cope with later life. I wonder if De Niro will ever make a good film again? I was trying to think of that last time that he was good. Frankenstein? Ronin? Casino? Jackie Brown?
