Actually, it's funny you mention this. Recently I tried to put together the 'other half', as it were, on Spotify. As in, recreating Vive le Vile Evils using the tracks that are available from the VE singles and NNDBAS. Here's what I came up with:

1. Fucking and Fighting (VE original single - the album mix doesn't appear to be on Spotify though)

Sorta works, though I still prefer the VE versions of S&D and Wasted.

Got a nice arc to it- start hard and rocking, go a bit more pop and techy, finish up hard and rocking again.

My collection of alternative versions is "New Noise Remixed By A Sadist"... even made a cover of New Noise inverted, until I saw that was exactly what the Chaos and Mayhem single cover was, how convenient!

Sure, I could have found room for Captain Plastic and Nosebleeder Turbo TV (which I should like because it sounds to me like a GBOA tune), but neither of them have held much long term appeal for me (i.e. I don't find myself with either running through my head days after listening to the album like every other song.) I also don't like No Fear or Evil Mantra/The Way I Feel for some reason.

I've already started actually mixing this for myself and I'll have that track 1 combo that I want.
