PWEI Radio Sessions 1992 - 1994 Download Thread

hi,

i was checking that really good john peel website that shows all his sessions and i noticed that 2 songs from the poppies 1987 session are not on the radio 1 sessions 1986-1987 cd i have. does anyone know why these 2 songs were omitted as there is loads of space on a cd to fit them on & does anyone have an mp3 of either song they could send me?

can you link to the site? I can't find it - there are a fair few sites for Peel sessions list...one of which has no ref to PWEI at all.

What 2 songs are they?

hi,

it is the above site and i have used it a lot to get information of other artists who did sessions and it seems very reliable.

it states that the poppies did a session on 14 06 1987 that was transmitted on 06 07 1987.

the radio 1 sessions 1986-87 cd contains only 2 of the 4 tracks recorded for this session.

both grebo guru & beaver patrol were omitted from that cd for some unknown (to me) reason.

both tracks defo exist as there are 30 second real player audio clips of them on that site.

anyone got these tracks as mp3 that i could have? or any info as to why these are not on the official cd?

I'm sure if anyone had them they would have been shared before now so my guess is that you're shit out of luck mate.

yeah that's what i thought but then i thought i might just try anyway because you never know, plus i am interested as to why they haven't been released on that radio session cd, there is plenty of space to include them after all.

maybe they had some uncleared samples on them or something, anyone know?
