I agree it would be great to hear a hip hop edge to the new album, I remember reading in an interview with Crabbi where he mentioned bringing back a bit of scratching and more samples so that might happen maybe.

Looks like PWEI fans will have to wait a while longer for this new LP....2015 now!

'there IS a follow-up. It's completely recorded and was going to come out in October, but that may change to Feb 2015. It's too good, it needs a proper build up and a
campaign of violence to force the right people to take notice. We'll keep you informed.'

The delay is for very good reason by all accounts...

'we got to 30 ideas and then whittled it down to the best 12. So as quality control goes, it's a cracking album - and that seems to be the word from most people who've been afforded a sneak listen.'

Yeah i know that, it's just that i had to miss both sets of gigs this year but told myself it was ok because i was bound to catch them on the tour but now i'm not going to get to see them at all this year and no album either.

I'm sure it will all be worth waiting for but i'm just on a right downer about it all today.

Patience is definitely a virtue for a Poppies fan, eh?
Rather disappointed, but if it means it gives them chance to get all their ducks in a row & could actually make a couple of quid eventually, then fair enough.
It does increase expectations somewhat...
