Didn't realise Nosebleeder Turbo had been doing the rounds since '96

Enjoyed that.
Apparently he doesn't like deadlines - like we didn't already know that!!!

There's a link to an interview with Clint at the bottom from '94 - I found it interesting that the sampling process on DDMA and NNDBS was actually quite similar, when you compare the two. And both of them moan about technology - the more things change, etc.

I like the attitude about using recognizable samples. I dont make any money off my music so there really shouldnt be any fear for me that someone may come along and want 100% royalties of nothing. There is just something so appealing about the collage cut up style, that's part of what made old hiphop so great and modern programmed hiphop so terrible. Plus it goes with the Pop Will Eat Itself aesthetic, chewing up pop music and spitting out something new.

Interesting interview. As he said, he was a little over-defensive at the time - and occasionally still is.
I think it was underestimated how important the rest of the lineup was to people outside the band.

That was one of the better interviews I've read from Crabbi in a long while; thanks for sharing. I'm really interested to see how he treats this new album, I get the impression we might see some heavy sampling from previous records.
