i may do this eBay thing....having fun with writing at the minute so plan this conceptual fundraising oddity

anyone know if colourful language/cheeky musings are allowed on eBay descriptions?

can someone help with the 'placing/positioning' of this thread which may be ongoing for a year if i get round to it....

If you do decide to use ebay- do not swear. I found out this the hard way.- They still take your money and charge you for the listing, but it is basically blocked an no-one can see it, therefore it won't sell and you're paying ebay for fuck all.

Payback is correct re this site, all the best people are on here (of course). But you might possibly reach a wider audience on ebay. If you use ebay, please also post here to tell us.

I'm not really an ebay person - can you link from ebay to an external site? (here or...). You're welcome to link here and we could add new news items for stuff too. I would add news items too and the shares on Facebook/Twitter help. I'm sure popwilleatitself.co.uk would do the same too.

Are you selling any backing tapes! Personally I dream of paying money for multi-track versions of classic PWEI songs. Can I buy these on ebay?

You could also look into setting up your own site to offer more info about what you're selling. Again not sure if you can link from ebay to site?? Wordpress is one way to do it and you can get free wordpress sites or get hosting for a small amount per year. adammole.com is available (well it probably won't be now I've said it) and you could get that for about 10 quid per year.

I agree with others that you should write more. A book or blog. My mate at work went down the vanity publishing route and his book is now doing quite well.

I've never linked to a YouTube video in any of my listings but I don't see why it couldn't be done. I've linked to other sites and I always link to my own images hosted on non-eBay servers. If you use the HTML option when creating your listing you have a lot of options.
