York Meet Up

Postby payback3000 » Thu Mar 15, 2012 4:36 pm

What's the word on the street?

Mr Cruise and Charly are going to York...who else? I'm dragging a friend along...any place in particular before hand. I'm sure this one is a 6.30 start isn't it? 1 support?

I am likely to be driving, which is a shame. I might go on the train though - it hadn't occurred to me to do that. On my ticket it says the doors open at 7.30.

Yep I'm driving too...I guess it's fizzy pop all night.

Yep - it's 7.30 doors open which is better...time for some tea. Let us know if you want to meet for a soft drink.

Driving as well, I'm working though so will probably not leave until at least six, then gotta get over to York.

Happy to meet for soft drinks (might even have a cheeky shandy) either at Duchess or nearby.

I've just had my tea and am going to get ready to go to York. I will be wearing my red and black coca-cola shirt and wear Two Ronnies type glasses. I shall be standing awkwardly on my own, for reference.

I am! I thought the sound (and lights) was awful, I can't hear anything. Still, a good gig - very nice to hear Def Con 1 and Can U Dig it? Seek and Destroy was good. I will try and sort some photos out in the next day or two.

yes - left ear is ringing like crazy.

Noe the sound - it was a bit naff but actually I liked it - it was heavy as fuck and for once you could here every sample and keyboard part loud and clear. You couldn't hear any of that stuff on the boots of last year or the gig I went to in islington.

The band are on fire right now - the live CD of the reading gig is now an item on the mech stalls. I bought a blue PRODUCT tee only as I have ordered a CD online.

That venue is like a time tunnel back to the eighties...with the inclusion of the local support. They were pretty good really. Punky Gothy stuff. Quite impressive.

Mary needs to learn the words to Def Con One & Can U Dig It!
