Bulletproof CD single - if you have one..

.. it may not read anymore. I inserted my copy this morning to read the Sherwood 7"+12" mixes that aren't on the reissues, and whilst the CD-data (track lengths etc.) read correctly, it does not read, play, or rip the music in iTunes or Windows. I've tried the CD in my stereo and it doesn't work there, nor my second copy of the CD (though that came up at 955,000 minutes long in Windows!). So.. if you have it on CD - rip it to FLAC or WAV or MP3 whilst you still can.

Luckily, I bust open my copy of "I've Always Been A Coward Baby", which has the Sherwood Extended mix on the flip, so it's not all lost. But be warned.

I think they've always been like that. Mine never played correctly unless you skipped the first track, and my brother's copy did the exact same thing. I did manage to rip the first track, though. I used some CD ripping program that can rip tracks hidden before the first track, that managed to pick up that first track too.

I bought a 2nd copy off ebay when I found that mine was no longer readable and that had the same problem too so they are definitely all the same. Only thing that does play it I found is my PS3.

Yes mine was a bit dodgy if i remember. I ordered a second hand copy off Amazon years ago to see if that copy would work and was sent the OZ card case version in error...bonus time! That one is fine.

Mine's always played fine, just played it again and it still plays. If anyone wants it it'll be £1000 as it seems to be the only 1 that plays. lol! :D

Over the years, I've run across a few CD's with errors like that. I've had great success burning a copy of the disc which would play just fine.
