Just a quickie as I don't like to be' kangeroo-courted', though I am getting quite used to it. Regarding nomorefakereunions' comments, (topic now closed):

Graham's being very economical with the truth in the Sky sports interview.
IF the 2005 shows were meant as a "goodbye" from the band why was there open talk of more shows and a new album?
and defending the legitimacy of the new lineup by saying "No one (from the old band) had made a claim." is more a way of saying "the rest of the band don't have the (large amount of) money needed to take me to court"

KWVP's reply to this was pretty much spot-on. The 'goodbye' comment was meant in a retrospective context, i.e. this was later to become the generally held view of the original PWEI line-up.

As for no-one making a claim on the name, I may have misinterpreted Helen's question, I'm not sure. People have used the name 'Pop Will Eat Itself' for various websites/exhibitions/newspaper & magazine articles etc and I thought she meant is it IP protected? It didn't occur to me she may have been talking about the old band.

Fella, if you have a negative spin on the new PWEI that's fair enough. But it's clouding your interpretation of all you hear and read. That's all.

To be homest I'm just happy to see Crabbi on the forums. Can we have news on tours/videos/vinyl/ etc please. Or anything else of interest. I'm shallow really.

At the risk of repeating myself, the new album's bloody great. The live band sound good too - and seem to be getting better with the more shows you play.

My interpretation of the legitimacy of calling this band Pop Will Eat Itself, and yours, differ. But that's not a reason to fall out. I wish you and everyone else involved nothing but success in keeping this going.

Understand totally. Personal truth is based on the emotinal subjectivity of one's unique experiences. I'll get me coat...

I'd be happy to contribute more to the site, I think it's great, but I've learnt from the past. You say something that's seems 99% likely to happen, everyone takes it as gospel & when it doesn't happen, frankly, you look a nob. I wanted to leak the vinyl release news but Cooking Vinyl said 'hang on' it's not 100% yet'. I don't know when it became 100% but I didn't get to hear about it.

Anyhow, really enjoyed the tour & well looking forward to future PWEI action. God bless y'all.
