Just got back from Oxford, stayed in the middle for the first few songs but then moved up to the front and ended up on the barrier. Not totally rammed, but quite packed.
Same setlist to Glasgow, except they didn't do Mask. Was very impressed, wasn't too sure what to expect but it sounded great to me. Can't wait to hit Brighton and Islington now!

It was superb.
Smallest venue I have seen the Poppies in since the Marquee in 1989! Werent as many PWEI tops about as I had expected, maybe they hadnt lasted all these years.
Still had my blue Pepsi top on though, despite the fact its getting a bit tatty!

Amazing gig
Perfect end to a great birthday
Glad they dropped mask from the setlist & loved Mary dropping ain't talkin bout dub at the end of old skool cool.
Really cool thing was the number of people I saw leaving with a copy of NNDBAS from the mersh stall
Sadly years of knee injuries prevented excessive pogoing but still lost it a bit for Preaching to the Perverted.
Thank you PWEI

So they are sellingthe CD at gigs? Good move.
Yes - a glass back will mean standing still only for me on Saturday and even that's a bit crippling.
Knackers yard.

My ears have just stopped ringing and my knees are shot
What a great gig. Really disappointed that I can't make anymore of the tour. Yes it was different but that certainly isn't a bad thing. The energy you expect at a poppies gig was still there. I like the new album and it plays even better live. Graham and Mary have a great connection on stage as well
PWEI are definitely back 2 business

Independent opinion from my girlfriend on the Oxford gig showed how strong the new material & performances are. She's as big a music geek as me, but she discovered the Poppies through a love of jangly 80s indie, so all the tracks she loves are NFAF era (hence me shouting for Black Country Chainstore Massacre). Throughout the gig she loved how Mary & Crabbi were on stage saying they looked so natural together, and also said she couldn't tell what was new material and what was old as it all fitted so well.

havent been on the board for ages, the oxford gig indeed was class, hooked up with some friends literally not seen for over 10 years, and converted a few friends to some box frenzy
looking forward to more releases and more tours in the future (bit bummed that i have to install itunes to purchase and download 1 track, after i spent £9 on the cd tho - not cool)
