Think we'll get a remix album?

I know remix albums are hardly in fashion at the moment, but I'd love to see the album reworked by mad(der) bastards.

I would also love to see a remix album. Crabbi remixed some stuff recently (KMFDM's Bitches, RevCo's "Keys to the City") and Vile Evils had plenty of remixes. We might get one.

Personally I'm not fussed. We got a baffling amount of generic remixes for the VE stuff. PWEI have never remixed particulary well to my ears although there are the odd one or two that added something.

I would prefer one producer take the full LP apart and rebuold it, like a dubstep version or something. Or a dub version like the PS or MA ones from back in the day. I still want an On U Sound version of TLOTLS.

Remixing seems to be a bit of a dying art now, back in the big beat days we'd get remixes that would outshine the original track!

Looking at the remixes on the Prodge singles from Invaders Must Die it looked more like a box ticking exercise, getting the dubstep mix, the electro house mix & the "name" producer mix, most of which were really half arsed (eg. Chase & Status taking Invaders Must Die & just rehashing it into Smash TV).

It'd be nice if we got some quality remixes but I can't see enough for a whole LP

Thinking about all the remixes I have (from all sorts of artists) theres only a handful that I enjoy listening to. Most are crap, intended to fill out a single or 12 " release. TFMF is a pretty good collection but for the most part the remixes dont stray too far from the originals.

Remixes that go on for 8 or 9 minutes (or longer) should be banned by law.
