"Licensed from Universal Music Group"

Why is it that the credits for A Lick of the Old Cassette Box say its licensed from licensed from Universal Music Group? I thought it was compiled from a bunch of demos their manager had.
What's the story behind this?

Dunno. I suspect the tracks were licensed to BMG Music Publishing, which was then .

I think they were parent company to Nothing Records back then too.

it was both the Infectious & Nothing Records' connections.
RCA is connected with Sony Music, not Universal.
I remember Richard from Cherry Red saying at the time that Universal didn't even know if they owned the rights to it or not & he essentially had to TELL them that they did!
Record company geek speak really, but essentially Universal want to own the entire music industry!
