I can't decide between This is This and CFS. This is This has the classic songs (Can U Dig It? Def Con One), but CFS is so wide-eyed and progressive and works better as album. I think because it's so big, the songs, no matter how good they are (Axe of Men!) get a bit lost and become part of the whole.

3. Looks or the Lifestyle
4. Box Frenzy (<--- It's very good, and the best place to start since there's too much going on in TiT and CFS. "Hit the Hi-Tech Groove" may be their best song)
5. New Noise Designed By a Sadist
6. Dos Dedos Mis Amigos (Hold it, "Everything's Cool" may be their best song. I imagined a song like this in my head for a long time)

I went into the album with an open mind as possible. And after a good few spins it's not the best PWEI album, it's also not the worst.

Most importantly, it IS a PWEI album. Whether you're familiar with some of the tracks from Vile Evils or the Sonic Noise Byte, from first listen this is undeniably Pop Will Eat Itself. It works in Graham's favour that the band were so consistently changing up their musical style, so further changes sound like a natural progression, rather than highlighting the absence of the band's former members.

To fans, the Poppies have a distinctive sonic signature running all the way from Wild & Wandering to Dos Dedos, and said signature is stamped all over this. Would the songs have been better with Mansell, March, Mole et al? Possibly? We'll never know. Either Graham is incredibly good at copying the style of his former bandmates, or he is more than a large enough part of the sound to claim the name and take it on to bigger and better.

I hated looks or the life style pretty much from the release until very recently. Bulletproof I have never been keen on. I love Karmadrome and the England's finest intro into eat me... The sample on that is ace.

Only recently have I got into looks or the lifestyle.

If you like looks or lifestyle over other pwei albums then I don't like you and we shall never talk again. It is growing on me though.

I'm really torn these days between this is is (it's special) and Dos Dedos which is their finest. Underbelly is almost perfect. Ich bin and everything's cool too.

I hated X y and Zee for years too and have recently got into it. I'd rather not talk about cicciolina. I was a real snob and didn't like football people getting into pwei on the back of that and pwei footy shirts. I'm ok with it now as I've matured as a person. I always cry at the end of 50 first dates when the music kicks in. I was always annoyed with Collapsed Lung's eat my goal too.

I do think it's too soon for the new album. A bit like when they do top 100 bands with silly hair from manchester and Oasis come out on top; just after releasing an album.

At the risk of being hated, Looks or the Lifestyle was the album that got me into the band and I always viewed it and This Is the Day as the holy grail. But in the years since the band split I find myself grabbing Cure For Sanity or Dos Dedos when I want a PWEI album. So there it is, I think I just picked everything as my favorite, how lame.

As for the new album, it's a grower. I would rank it last in order of their albums but that still makes it better than most stuff that comes out today.
