I will speak for myself, other than a curriosity about quality and mix I could do without. So far no one has given a solid answer about either of those, if I knew It sounded better than the 320kbs MP3s that I have than I might be more interested as I genuinely liked VEs version of some tracks.

The one thing that will be interesting is when .FLAC versions show up on What.CD, we will have to start a thread to see who broke down hoarding their prize in exchange for bandwidth:)

Anyhow I've listened to this and I though the first track sounded better - it had more of a kick drum to it than the PLAY.COM download. However this is clearly not the properly mastered LP - it's still the wrong files they sent out to Amazon, Play ect. How can I tell? Because it sounds uneven overall in the same places. Retro Dreaming is still stupidly loud for example.

Finally I need to dig out the art work I cut and pasted together from the tDR digi pack artwork for a jewel case to prove this, but it looks like dPulse have been so lazy they have just used the tray card art I did for people to house the Play.com files they had paid for.
I will have to overlay the two files to see as I did a bit of cut and pasting here and there to get it to work.

Haven't listened yet - but I suspect they just burned what they had (the lossless source for the MP3s) and the result is what they sold - that may be why they had to pull it... shame it's not a better version... and a shame it's not the digipack that was originally planned (I had hoped it might be, that a few copies might have been printed that lead to this).
