Most people that post here frequently might have come to the conclusion that I dig the tangible to a mental health issue level, so the digital retorts were mostly in jest. Except if you are a real teenage grand-dad, in which case you are a person with some serious issues.
But, DVDs are such a waste! I have hundreds (possibly thousands if I were to include the crates I shipped off to my parents when downsizing) of DVDs, most of which collect dust only because I've made digital rips of them which are insanely easier to share and watch. If they were to release an instant live that had proper packaging and was transferred to a high quality medium, I would be all over a DVD/CD release. The reality is, these fly-by-night live concert jobs are just CDr/DVDr in a blank paper sleave, so what's the point? Just release it on-line and charge $5, I guarantee they would not only make more money but also get more attention.
