1) The Chart Show is still my favourite music show ever, so cool they gave so many obscure bands exposure (even if it be only 3 secs) on a Saturday lunchtime.

2) (from the post of the video by those what made it http://youtu.be/2GtHA5Nf1nU The script said "We start with Cathy Come Home, then God flies in dressed as Superman and turns a monkey into Clint Sex God, then they are joined for a jolly knees up by Graham as a boxer, the twins from Neighbours, girl bodybuilders, ballroom dancers and some monkey suits".

i used to love the chart show too. i found out about loads of cool bands through seeing the few seconds clips. even better was when they had bands that hadn't made a video so they just had a photo girating around for a bit.

thanks for the video explanation, now it makes so much sense

plus i'd forgotten all about the twins from Neighbours, how did i forget them? the teenaged me was slightly obsessed with them for a time
