So were the samples PWEI used back in the day actually uncleared or were they just uncredited in the inley? I know it was common not to clear samples but there were certainly cases of bands clearing samples and not crediting them. Paul's Boutique comes to mind; whilst the majority were uncleared some in fact were. Just curious as PWEI were on a major label so I'd assume the label would clear them to avoid trouble (if that's indeed how it works).

I think they cleared the obvious ones - ie PWEI owned up to RCA about them and they were cleared...and kept quiet about a lot of other ones...??

know this is only news, but i was so sure the karmadrome samples were by trippitaka from the monkey t.v. programme,just shows you. i thought some of the other ones listed were dead interesting.
