The next PWEI2 album

I would like it to be an album of new tracks except for Fucking & Fighting and Demon which, I think, are worth hearing with Jasons drums all over them. The rest of the VE stuff can then be consigned to history.

Also, can someone get The Buzzard out of retirement to do a bit on it? It may have appeased some folk if his guitar had been in the NNDBAS sound.

This is all assuming there will be a second PWEI2 album. What are my chances d'ya reckon?

I reckon it would be a bit of a wasted effort if this line-up didn't go on to make another album! They've done the hard work of getting interest going around the PWEI name again, and looking at the comments here & on Friendface the majority of Poppies fans have been won over by the gigs & NNDBAS. The band are strong on stage, seem to be gelling well as a unit & I think they can produce the goods on record again.

Disagree slightly on the VE stuff - would like to see them all consigned to history & the band move on completely from that. Not that there aren't some good tunes, just it would be a letdown if we got another LP with some tracks that are overly familiar. Disguise gives a strong hint that Crabbi's still got more great tunes inside him & I'd like to see a whole load of new material. In that interview from the Manchester gig he did mention about the old Poppies being welcome to contribute, so I think we may see the names Mole & Townshend (maybe even Pance?) on the credits again. I've got a funny feeling that as the band keep touring and if the venues get a bit bigger Adam might pop up to sort out the samples & synths...

Anyway, aren't we getting a bit greedy asking for a new album 3 weeks after NNDBAS?

I spoke to Graham at Sheffield who said he was spending the first few months 2012 writing when he has a baby. This sounds promising for new material!

No VE tracks please - lets move on...maybe an unreleased track from the demos or the vaults though?

As for the Buzzard. He can't play guitar anymore after an accident. He paints now...as in artisically, not PAinting & Decorating.

Doesn't anyone else think Mr Crabb's aim of writing more when his baby comes along is a bit, well, unrealistic?
