pop will eat itself

Hi all;

I am trying to find a copy of the WISE UP! SUCKER 7" promo single - it is NOT the POP2 catalogue numbered one, but the one with the picture cover.
It has the edited version on it that is from the video clip (where they sing "my heads in the glass" as opposed to "up my ass").

Cover doesn't need to be perfect or anything, but ideally I want the disc to be pretty near perfect if possible.

If anyone can help, please let me know (& how much you want for it).

Now as for the cover - there was only one promo - the POP 2 one but some where in the standard picture sleeve, some weren't. (for example there is currently a KARMADROME 12" promo on ebay in standard pic sleeve - most came in a generic sleeve).

Just buy a minty normal 45 and use the sleeve for your promo?

I use discogs a lot...no problems so far.

Now you've got me thinking though...my radio or video edit promo came in the pic sleeve...but is it POP 2?

I need to check now.

I thought there was only 1, but the POP2 one is just a slightly shortened mix that kinda crashes into the start rather than start with the computer game style blips.

There was a discussion about it a while back on the boards, & it seemed that there are 2 versions.

Right...forgot to dig it out again. I'm sure mine is just the radio edit / normal start. It came in a picture sleeve though

I only ever came across 1 'radio' edit of Wise Up! Sucker. If there's a second I'd love to hear it.

Maybe I'm chasing something that doesn't exist... but I do vaguely remember reading a thread about it some time last year!

I do have rips of both versions, but one is a rip of the audio from the video clip itself - it's exactly the same as the 7" mix, just says "glass" instead of "ass".

Will keep digging... & if anyone happens to stumble across it in the meantime, please let me know!

Right OK - my Promo is just the POP 2 version...standard radio edit.

I have watched the UK video as compliled on UBP and the track is uncensored...Clint says 'ASS'. I doubt they bothered to make one video for TV and one for the compilation video...so maybe you have a rip of audio from a US version of the video.

Where did you rip the video audio from? Has anyone got a promo VHS of the UK video to see if it is censored?

It might be you end up looking for a US only 7 inch promo - not a UK one.
