Went to see old Bob Mould over the weekend, never seen him before, top notch show though. Anyone else gets the chance on this tour i'd heartily recommend it.
Doing all the classics, Sugar/Solo/Husker Du.

I saw Sugar in 92 at the Charlotte in Leicester, bloody top gig it was.

Just wow!
Was worth the ticket price just to hear Something I Learned Today running straight into In a Free Land.
Being a pedant would have liked to hear more stuff from Beaster, Body of Song & Life & Times but Bob & band were awesome

I only really knew the Sugar stuff and a couple of the new ones as i'd not really listened to Husker Du much.
Many people over the years had told me i'd like Husker Du (knowing my love of China Drum) but having bought Candy Apple Grey and not really liked it i'd kinda moved on.
Think I bought the wrong record, since the gig I've been listening to Flip Your Wig and love it so will be revisiting the back catalogue.
He puts many a youngster to shame.

Yeah the major label Huskers stuff is nowt to write home about, but Flip Your Wig is my favourite & everything before that (Zen Arcade, Metal Circus, New Day Rising etc) are all essential.
Always nice to hear a mention of the Northumbrian Huskers Appreciation Society too! Goosefair & Barrier ep still on regular rotation round mine

I've seen China Drum have played a couple of times recently, but I've not been able to go. Would love to see them do a full tour as they were amazing in concert.
