I'm currently reading Chasm City by Alastair Reynolds. Spaceships and stuff.
Then I'm going to read "the Handsworth times"
I lived in Handsworth Wood until I was about 11.
Any recommendations? Spaceships/zombies etc.

I've just started The Hanging Tree (
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hanging-Tree-R ... 863&sr=8-1), the latest in Ben Aaronovitch's Peter Grant series, loved the previous entries and enjoying this one too.

Still plowing gamely through the Dune series, including the prequels co-written by Frank Herberts son, and I'm up to Heretics Of Dune. Marvellous stuff.

Took a break from Arrakis to take on Peter Hooks latest. I've read all three of Hookys books and this was the one I was most looking forward to having lived through these songs and albums whereas I was too young for Joy Division and I never went to the Hacienda. How disappointing the experience turned out to be. Sadly, Hookys anger at his former band-mates infects pretty much every page in a way only hinted at in the earlier books and I found it quite tiresome after a while. I felt like saying to the book "OK, I get it!".
Some good photos in it though.
