Unrecommend a film

Homefront is good stuff - cheesy and the end fluffs it but if you want to see the Stath kicking the shit out of a load of red necks in a film written by Sly Stallone with echoes of First Blood then give it a whirl kidz.

I was a bit disappointed by No Country For Old Men, at least the ending of it anyway. The bulk of it was mighty and Im not taking anything away from Tommy Lee Jones' performance I was just left a bit 'meh' probably due to the randomness of Javier Bardems final scenes. It should've cut as he left the house checking his shoes. Never mind.

I thought it was ok...but I've really gone off the Coens regardless of what reviews they get. You sort of know what your going to get so meh. I also can't stand Wes Anderson anymore - this is based on not seeing any of his films since the life Aquatic as they all just look so fucking predictible and whimsical....fuck off. the trailer for his new one made me want to throw up. That said, as someone happy to sit through painfully bad Jess Franco films and ropey euro sleaze / horror, I'm not the best barometer of quality.

The Coens made some of my favourite films but i think they've gone a bit mainstream now sadly.

I really enjoyed True Grit despite the dodgy ending (and it was a dodgy ending).

Never seen the original though, it's on the list.
