Well, Hooky left in 2007 so I guess he cant complain about the band continuing without him. However, as legend has it, Back In The Day they agreed that when a member left the band the name would have to change. The band was those members, when those members changed then so did the band. Hence, when Ian Curtis left (died) they changed the name of the band. This whole subject has had more pages devoted to it on New Order Online than any 'Wheres Clint?' debate over here.
Hooky left, the band continued. I have no problem with that although he does leave a big gaping hole within the New Order sound and a massive stage presence at concerts.
